NTPC Ltd, India’s largest integrated energy company, has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Electricity Department, Government of Goa (ED-Goa) for power allocation from its Sipat Stage-III project, located in Bilaspur district, Chhattisgarh. The agreement was formalised on 16 July 2025 at the Electricity Department’s office in Goa.
This strategic collaboration represents a major step in strengthening Goa’s energy infrastructure, ensuring a long-term and reliable electricity supply to meet the state’s growing demand. The agreement aligns with Goa’s developmental goals and promotes overall energy security and sustainability.
The Sipat Stage-III plant is part of NTPC’s nationwide initiative to deliver sustainable, affordable, and dependable power to diverse regions across India. This PPA reinforces NTPC’s commitment to supporting India’s energy transition, while cementing its position as a key enabler in the country’s power sector growth.
