BSPTCL's Substation Unit Paves the Way for Progress in Punjab

The Bihar State electricity Transmission Company Limited's (BSPTCL) Tajpur, Patiala, Punjab, substation project would improve regional electricity transmission. At Rs. 92.55 crores, this project is a major investment in grid stability and addressing regional power demand. The building of a 220 kV substation might strengthen the electricity infrastructure and enable future expansion.

This project significantly increases regional electricity transmission capacity. Construction of a 220 kV substation in Tajpur will increase energy flow to meet current and future power demands. The project is also intended to improve grid stability, reducing power outages and improving energy supplies.

Bihar and Punjab's collaboration on the project is a promising step toward power sector cooperation between the states. Beyond improving electricity transmission, the project might boost economic growth, attract investments, and spur industrial development, creating jobs and regional wealth. As on December,2023. The project is now in the stage of construction being started. The completion of the project's work has reached the 30% mark. The work on the project will be finished by March of 2025.
