BPCL Invites Bids for Bina Refinery Lube Oil Project

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) has invited bids for the appointment of a consultant for setting up a Lube Oil Base Stock (LOBS) unit and a Lube Oil Blending Plant (LOBP) at its Bina Refinery in Madhya Pradesh.

The selected consultant will be responsible for:

Assisting in the selection of a licensor for the LOBS unit.

Conducting a detailed feasibility study to assess the project’s viability.

Coordinating with potential licensors to obtain technology offers.

Preparing a comprehensive cost estimate for setting up the LOBS unit, associated infrastructure, and the LOBP facility.

BPCL plans to integrate the proposed LOBS unit with the existing Hydrocracker Unit (HCU) at the Bina Refinery, aiming to produce high-quality, premium-grade base oils. The LOBS unit is envisaged to have a capacity of 200 KTPA, while the LOBP is proposed to have a capacity of 25 KTPA.

The last date for submission of bids is 2nd July 2025.
