Sirala Project: 90% Complete, Kharif Ready

Approximately 90% of the Sirala irrigation project in Nirmal district, Telangana, has been completed. During a site inspection on May 15, 2025, MLA Pawar Rama Rao Patel stated that the project is expected to supply irrigation water to farmers in the villages of Sirala, Ilegam, and Degam starting from the upcoming Kharif season.

Previously damaged by heavy rains, the Sirala project was taken up for reconstruction by the Telangana government. The MLA praised the rapid progress of the work and thanked Vaishnavi Constructions for their efficient execution. He noted that their timely efforts had resolved long-standing issues faced by farmers in the region.

"The project is nearing completion and will soon serve as a dependable water source for local farmers," he said. Ayacut farmers in the area also voiced their appreciation for the efforts made to ensure the project's timely advancement and completion.
