Bihar's Rs 70,000-Crore Ganga Marine Drive Blueprint Revealed

Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has announced a landmark plan to build a 126-km Marine Drive along the Ganga River at an estimated cost of Rs 70,000 crore.

Announced during an Employment Fair at Patna's Gyan Bhavan, the project will extend the existing 21-km Patna Marine Drive (completed in 2025 at a Rs 6,000-crore budget) all the way from Koilwar on the Son River. Funding will be driven by a hybrid model combining Rs 20,000 crore from the state government and Rs 50,000 crore from private sector partnerships, aimed at upgrading infrastructure and creating diverse employment openings across the state.
