SJVN’s 412 MW Rampur Hydro Power Station (HPS) in Himachal Pradesh has recorded its highest-ever power generation, producing 2,098.03 million units as of 26 March 2026, surpassing its previous best achieved in FY 2019–20.
Chairman & Managing Director Bhupender Gupta announced the milestone, highlighting the plant’s consistent performance and its vital contribution to regional power supply. Director (Personnel) Ajay Kumar Sharma witnessed the achievement during his visit to the Rampur powerhouse, where he interacted with employees and OEM representatives, commending their efforts and encouraging continued excellence.
Vikas Marwah, Head of Project, Rampur HPS, attributed the accomplishment to the company’s leadership and the collective dedication of its workforce. Senior officials, including Rajeev Kapoor, Head of Project (NJHPS), and Vivek Sharma, Head of Project (LHEP-1), were also present on the occasion.
Since its commissioning, Rampur HPS has consistently demonstrated strong operational performance, setting multiple benchmarks in hydroelectric generation. Notably, it achieved its Design Energy target of 1,878 million units for FY 2025–26 on 8 December 2025—the fastest milestone of its kind since commissioning.
