Marking World Quantum Day on April 14, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will launch India’s first indigenous quantum computer testing facility at SRM University in Amaravati.
On the same day, he will also virtually inaugurate a quantum facility centre at Medha Towers in Gannavaram near Vijayawada. With this initiative, Andhra Pradesh is set to become the first state in the country to establish an indigenous quantum computing testing facility.
Officials said the development is expected to position Amaravati’s proposed “Quantum Valley” as a growing hub for global research and innovation in quantum computing.
As part of the event, the Chief Minister will oversee a live demonstration of the system’s initiation, including the virtual activation of the cooling process for the processor on the Amaravati 1Q system installed at Medha Towers.
