US-based insurance and financial services firm The Standard has launched its Global Capability Centre (GCC) at Embassy Tech Village in Bengaluru, marking a key step in scaling its technology and enterprise operations in India.
The new facility will focus on areas such as software engineering, artificial intelligence, and broader enterprise functions, reflecting the company’s strategy to tap into India’s deep talent pool and rapidly evolving digital ecosystem.
The Standard formally entered the Indian market in November 2025 with the establishment of its GCC arm, StanCorp Global Services India Pvt Ltd, with operations in Bengaluru and Pune.
This expansion also highlights Bengaluru’s continued leadership in India’s GCC ecosystem, where it hosts roughly 875–900 centres and accounts for more than 35% of the country’s total GCC base.
