NETRA: The New Heartbeat of ONGC’s Digital Transformation

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has taken a significant step in its digital transformation journey with the launch of NETRA, an integrated digital solution for its Production Operation Control Centre (POCC).

Inaugurated at the Institute of Production Engineering and Ocean Technology (IPEOT) by Director (Production) Pankaj Kumar, the platform marks a strategic shift in managing upstream operations and production intelligence. Aligned with ONGC’s “Bytes to Barrel” vision, NETRA transforms large volumes of operational data into actionable insights through a unified system.

The platform combines real-time production monitoring, advanced analytics, predictive capabilities, well and network modelling, optimisation workflows, and digital twin technologies into a single interface. This integration is expected to improve operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and enhance production optimisation.

Beyond being a technological upgrade, NETRA represents a new operational approach focused on speed, precision, and data-driven decision-making, enabling more accurate resource management and fostering innovation across ONGC’s upstream activities.
