Safran Aircraft Engines, the French aerospace leader, has signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Maini Precision Products Ltd. (MPPL)—a subsidiary of the Raymond Group—to manufacture machined assemblies for the CFM LEAP engine combustors. These next-generation engines power leading single-aisle commercial aircraft, including the Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737 MAX.
The agreement was formalized during the Paris Air Show 2025, with Dominique Dupuy, VP of Purchasing at Safran Aircraft Engines, and Gautam Maini, Managing Director of MPPL, inking the deal. Raymond Group Chairman and MD, Gautam Singhania, was also present at the signing ceremony.
This collaboration highlights Safran’s deepening engagement with Indian manufacturing partners and expands its industrial footprint in India. It aligns with the company’s broader strategy to meet growing global demand for LEAP engines, which are renowned for their fuel efficiency, reduced emissions, and cutting-edge performance.
The partnership reinforces India’s growing role in the global aerospace supply chain, particularly in high-precision components, and strengthens Safran’s long-term supply resilience through trusted local partnerships.
