In a major push to strengthen infrastructure and attract investment, the Maharashtra government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Horizon Industrial Parks and Xsio Logistics Parks for the development of over ten sustainable industrial and logistics parks across the state.

As reported by the Hindustan Times, the initiative is expected to bring in ₹5,127 crore in foreign direct investment (FDI) and create more than 27,000 direct and indirect jobs. The parks will be developed in key industrial hubs including Panvel, Bhiwandi, Chakan (Pune), Nagpur, and Sinnar (Nashik), covering a total of 794.2 acres with a construction area of 18.5 million square feet.

Aligned with the Maharashtra Logistics Policy 2024, the project aims to modernize the state’s manufacturing, warehousing, and supply chain infrastructure. Designed to meet global sustainability standards, the parks reflect Maharashtra’s commitment to building environmentally responsible, investment-friendly industrial ecosystems that support long-term economic growth.
