Reclaiming the River: Telangana’s Big Push for Musi Rejuvenation

A. Revanth Reddy, Chief Minister of Telangana, has announced the formation of a Cabinet Sub-Committee to oversee the Musi Rejuvenation Project.

The committee will be chaired by Bhatti Vikramarka and include D. Sridhar Babu, Minister for IT and Industries, and Ponnam Prabhakar.

Speaking in the Legislative Council, the Chief Minister stated that the government has prepared a comprehensive roadmap for the development of the Musi river. He assured that all residents affected by the project would be rehabilitated.

Reddy emphasized that no one living along the river would be displaced without support and urged political parties to avoid spreading misinformation about the initiative.

The move highlights the state government’s renewed focus on environmental restoration and sustainable urban development along the Musi river.
