Puttaparthi’s New Wings: ADA to Launch Strategic Aerospace Hub

The Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), operating under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), is set to establish an advanced aircraft integration and flight testing complex at Puttaparthi in Andhra Pradesh.

The proposed strategic facility is expected to become a major centre for the development and testing of India’s future aerospace platforms, including the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) programme as well as upcoming indigenous combat aircraft and unmanned aerial systems projects.

According to a statement issued by the Andhra Pradesh government on Thursday, the project has received in-principle approval from the Ministry of Defence following sustained coordination between the state government and the Government of India.
