Prime Focus: Lights Up Mumbai with ₹3,000 Crore Film City

Prime Focus has announced a ₹3,000 crore investment to build a state-of-the-art, 200-acre film city in Mumbai, designed to serve as a global hub for film production and entertainment. Unveiled during the WAVES 2025 event, the project is expected to create up to 2,500 jobs and attract international content creators and tourists alike.

A memorandum of understanding has been signed with the Maharashtra government to support the initiative. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis welcomed the development, calling it a significant step in line with the state’s broader vision for economic growth and cultural advancement.

Conceived as a fully integrated entertainment city, the facility will feature cutting-edge production studios, advanced digital infrastructure, and a wide array of amenities—including live entertainment venues, theme parks, immersive experience centers, retail outlets, restaurants, hotels, and residential complexes. The project aims to seamlessly merge creative industry needs with lifestyle and leisure offerings, positioning Maharashtra as a leading destination for global media and entertainment.
