Odisha and Singapore Join Forces to Launch Tech Hub

The Government of Odisha has partnered with Singapore-based Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN) to launch the Integrated Global Financial Technology Capability Hub (I-GFTCH) in Bhubaneswar, scheduled for inauguration on 21 August 2025.

Designed to position Odisha as a key player in India’s digital economy, I-GFTCH will serve as a global hub for FinTech and InsurTech education, innovation, and industry collaboration. The first program under this initiative—the NUS-AIDF Certificate in FinTech & InsurTech (CFI)—will begin in September 2025. Delivered by the Asian Institute of Digital Finance at the National University of Singapore, the five-month course combines online modules, in-person sessions, hands-on projects, and internships.

The program is expected to benefit over 7,000 students from Odisha, with support from the Skill Development Institute, the Department of Higher Education, and the Union Ministry of Education.

This collaboration follows an MoU signed during Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam’s visit to India in January 2025.
