IIT-Patna Boosts Campus Capacity with New Visvesvaraya Hostel

The Indian Institute of Technology, Patna (IIT-Patna) has expanded its campus infrastructure with the early commissioning of the Sir M Visvesvaraya Hostel. Initiated under the leadership of Director T N Singh in February 2025, the project was finished ahead of schedule through internal funding mechanisms, bringing the institute's total operational residential facilities to six. This addition directly addresses capacity constraints stemming from expanding academic programs and rising student enrollment.
