Dassault Takes Flight in India: Falcon 2000 Production Lands in Nagpur

Dassault Aviation and Reliance Infrastructure’s subsidiary, Reliance Aerostructure Ltd. (RAL), have announced a landmark strategic partnership to manufacture Falcon 2000 business jets in India. Unveiled at the Paris Air Show, this collaboration marks the first time Dassault will produce Falcon jets outside France—positioning India alongside leading business jet manufacturing nations such as the US, France, Canada, and Brazil, and significantly advancing the country's aerospace capabilities.

Under the agreement, their joint venture, Dassault Reliance Aerospace Ltd. (DRAL), will establish a cutting-edge final assembly line in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The facility will also serve as a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for future Falcon aircraft, including the Falcon 6X and Falcon 8X. The first 'Made in India' Falcon 2000 is expected to take flight by 2028, targeting both domestic and global markets, including military and corporate sectors.

DRAL will handle full fuselage and wing assembly for the Falcon 2000, as well as front sections for the Falcon 6X and 8X. Since 2017, DRAL’s Nagpur facility has already delivered over 100 major Falcon 2000 sub-sections. The expansion is projected to create hundreds of high-skilled engineering jobs in the coming decade.
