Maharashtra Greenlights ₹104 Cr Fishery Science Hub in Morshi

The Public Works Department Maharashtra has invited bids for the construction of a Fishery Science College in Morshi.

The project is estimated at ₹104.91 crore and is expected to be completed within 23 months from the date of commencement. The proposed institution is aimed at strengthening fisheries education and research infrastructure in Maharashtra.

The scope of work includes both civil and electrical components, with infrastructure development planned at the academic and farm sites across the campus. The project involves the construction of nine buildings, including an academic and administrative block, separate hostels for girls and boys, a guest house, indoor sports facilities, Type III staff quarters, and other supporting infrastructure.

Through this project, the department aims to create modern, state-of-the-art facilities for students and researchers in fishery science, contributing to the growth and development of the fisheries sector in the state.
