Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has approved a ₹1,464 crore ring road link project for the Tricity region.
The initiative is aimed at strengthening connectivity among Chandigarh, Mohali, and Panchkula, helping to ease traffic congestion and improve overall regional mobility.
The link road will be developed under national highway infrastructure programmes. Construction is set to commence following the completion of tendering processes and necessary statutory clearances.
Once operational, the project is expected to significantly cut travel time across the Tricity urban cluster and enhance seamless movement within the region.
