The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has floated a tender for road construction and associated infrastructure works along both banks of the Sabarmati River.
The project includes road development, electrical works, stormwater drainage, and horticultural landscaping across two key stretches: from Sadar Bazar to Indira Bridge on the east bank, and from the railway bridge to Indira Bridge on the west bank.
Valued at ₹149.49 crore, the contract aims to enhance road connectivity, upgrade civic infrastructure, and introduce integrated amenities along these critical corridors. The project duration is 24 months, excluding the monsoon period from 16 June to 15 September each year.
The scope includes improved traffic flow, modern street lighting, effective drainage to mitigate waterlogging, and green landscaping for environmental sustainability.
