Bids Open: ₹146 Cr Ganga Rail-Road Project

Northern Railway has floated a tender for infrastructure development under the Varanasi–Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya multitracking initiative. The project spans a 15 km section within the Lucknow Division and includes the construction of a new rail-cum-road bridge across the Ganga River.

The scope of work encompasses earthwork in formation—including filling, cutting, and compaction—supplying and laying blanketing material on the embankment, construction of a Road Under Bridge (RUB), retaining walls, extension of minor bridges, and other ancillary works from Ganga Bridge to Block Hut B, including Vyasnagar Yard.

With an estimated project cost of ₹146.76 crore, this contract marks a significant investment to enhance rail infrastructure and boost multimodal transport efficiency. The completion period is set at 24 months.

The deadline for bid submission is 10 June 2025.
