Oswal Greenzo: Powering India’s First Green Port Milestone

Oswal Energies, through its joint venture Oswal Greenzo Energies with Greenzo Energy India, has been awarded India’s first port-based 5 MW Green Hydrogen Project at Deendayal Port, Kandla.

The project, under the Government of India’s Sagarmala Initiative, covers the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the plant at the port. This milestone positions Deendayal Port as a pioneer in maritime decarbonisation, marking India’s first green hydrogen facility at a major port. The plant will be executed on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis, with provisions to expand capacity to 10 MW using shared infrastructure. Once operational, it is expected to produce 800 tonnes of green hydrogen annually, supporting clean energy adoption in port operations and the mobility sector.

The project aligns with India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission and is expected to significantly reduce carbon emissions in maritime, logistics, and transport operations, advancing the country’s clean energy transition.
