Max Healthcare: 3,700 New Beds, ₹6,000 Crore Investment

Max Healthcare Institute has announced a Rs 6,000 crore investment plan to expand its healthcare infrastructure across India by 2028. The initiative aims to add 3,700 beds and increase the number of hospitals from 22 to approximately 30. The investment will be funded entirely through internal accruals.

Chairman and Managing Director Abhay Soi shared the details during the inauguration of the Max Super Speciality Hospital in Dwarka—a new 300-bed greenfield facility featuring over 120 critical care beds, 10 modular operation theatres, and advanced Cath Labs. The hospital is designed to offer advanced tertiary and quaternary care across specialties such as cardiac sciences, oncology, renal sciences, neurosciences, paediatrics, robotic surgery, and organ transplants.

The expansion plan includes the launch of three new hospitals this year in Mohali, Mumbai, and Saket (New Delhi), with a mix of new construction and expansion of existing facilities. While Max Healthcare remains committed to organic growth, it is also open to acquisition opportunities, which would be financed separately from the planned Rs 6,000 crore allocation.
