Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has announced the establishment of at least four new industrial parks across Bihar, alongside a forthcoming Central policy aimed at supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and allied sectors.
Speaking at the ‘Bihar Idea Festival’ in Patna, Goyal also inaugurated the APEDA office building and disbursed funds under the Mukhyamantri Udyam Yojana, underscoring efforts to strengthen the state’s export and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary provided updates on the upcoming 1,700-acre Gaya Industrial Park and revealed plans for a 150-km Ganga Expressway, expected to boost regional connectivity and economic growth.
Industries Minister Nitish Mishra highlighted Bihar’s increasing visibility in the national industrial landscape, while entrepreneurs and officials at the event expressed optimism over the state’s improving infrastructure and investment climate.
