Azad Engineering Goes Lean with New ₹200 Cr Global Facility

Azad Engineering has expanded its global manufacturing footprint with the inauguration of a 7,600 sq. m facility at its Centre of Excellence in Tunikibollaram.

Developed with an investment of ₹200 crore, the lean manufacturing facility has been set up exclusively to support a long-term partnership with Baker Hughes. The unit currently employs around 230 professionals and is focused on producing high-precision components, particularly critical rotating airfoils used in the finish stages of gas and steam turbines.

This development marks a significant step in strengthening the collaboration between the two companies, which began in 2018 as a specialised supply engagement and has since evolved into a strategic manufacturing alliance centred on advanced engineering and high-performance energy solutions.

The facility was inaugurated by D Sridhar Babu, underscoring the state’s efforts to attract high-value industrial investments. The expansion further reinforces Telangana’s position as a growing hub for precision manufacturing and global supply chains, while enhancing Azad Engineering’s role in the global energy and aerospace components sector.
