Dalmia Bharat's 6.9 Million Tonne Q2: Assam Expansion Heats Up

Dalmia Bharat, one of India’s leading cement manufacturers, reported strong performance in Q2 FY26, with sales volume reaching 6.9 million tonnes.

A key highlight for the quarter was the commencement of trial runs at the new 3.6 MnT clinker line at Umrangso, Assam, with commercial production scheduled for Q3 FY26. The expansion reinforces the company’s ongoing growth strategy in eastern India.

Advancing its sustainability agenda, Dalmia Bharat commissioned 93 MW of renewable energy (RE) capacity during the quarter, bringing its total operational RE capacity to 387 MW, including group captive power. Renewable energy accounted for 48.1% of the company’s total power consumption—underscoring its leadership in green manufacturing.

Several facilities—Dalmiapuram, Ariyalur, Rajgangpur, Kapilas, Rohtas, and Lanka—were recognised for energy excellence, while Ariyalur, Dalmiapuram, and Lanka Cement Works received the prestigious "National Energy Leader" award for sustained performance in energy efficiency and environmental stewardship.
