On 28 October 2025, Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) and Safran Aircraft Engines inaugurated a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, dedicated to producing advanced rotating parts for LEAP engines.
This milestone marks a major step in the companies’ strategic partnership to strengthen India’s aerospace manufacturing capabilities. Situated within the Tata Centre of Excellence for Aero Engines, the new facility will manufacture complex components for CFM International’s LEAP engines, renowned for their fuel efficiency, reduced noise, and high utilisation. The project brings to fruition a long-term agreement signed in January 2024.
With India now the world’s third-largest operator of LEAP engines and over 2,000 units on order, the facility underscores the country’s growing demand for advanced aerospace production and support infrastructure. The inauguration event was attended by Telangana IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu, along with senior executives from TASL, Safran, and other government dignitaries.
