The Odisha government has cleared 10 major industrial proposals worth ₹44,200 crore at a meeting of the High-Level Clearance Authority (HLCA) chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
The projects are expected to create 8,765 jobs across eight districts, including Khurda, Koraput, Kalahandi and Dhenkanal. Spanning sectors such as semiconductors, rare earth manufacturing, cement, automobiles, telecom infrastructure and renewable energy, the approvals reflect the state’s strategy to diversify and deepen its industrial base.
In the semiconductor space, ASP Semicon will establish a ₹4,620 crore memory chip manufacturing plant in Khurda, while Magnova plans to set up a magnet production facility. Bharat Forge will invest ₹3,000 crore in aerospace and defence manufacturing. Cement projects by NCL Industries and Dalmia Cement are slated for Koraput and Malkangiri districts.
In renewable energy, pumped storage projects will be developed by Adani Hydro Energy Twelve and Jindal Green PSP Two. The initiatives are aimed at enhancing employment generation, strengthening energy security and ensuring timely execution of large-scale investments in the state.
