Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world’s largest hotel franchising company, has identified India as one of its fastest-growing priority markets. With over 70 operational hotels across the country and a development pipeline of more than 50 additional properties, Wyndham is well on track to surpass the 100-hotel mark in the near future.
Speaking on the expansion, Dimitris Manikis, President – EMEA, and Rahool Macarius, Managing Director – Eurasia, highlighted India’s strong macroeconomic fundamentals and expanding middle class as key growth drivers.
While Ramada remains the group’s most recognized brand in India, Wyndham plans to diversify its portfolio by introducing La Quinta by Wyndham and Registry Collection Hotels through a newly announced strategic alliance with Cygnett Hotels & Resorts.
Wyndham’s global portfolio of 25 brands—ranging from economy offerings like Super 8 and Days Inn to upscale names such as Trademark Collection and Wyndham—will be strategically deployed to suit the evolving dynamics of various Indian markets as they mature.
