The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the signing of a 65-key Gateway hotel in McLeodganj, Himachal Pradesh, marking its entry into this culturally rich and scenic destination. Developed in partnership with Mcleo Times Square, this brownfield project is strategically located within walking distance of the Dalai Lama Temple and Namgyal Monastery, offering panoramic views of the valley and surrounding snow-capped peaks.
The upcoming Gateway McLeodganj will offer an array of amenities, including an all-day dining restaurant, bar, meeting rooms, spa, and fitness centre. Nestled on a picturesque cliff near the bustling local market, the hotel aims to deliver a unique blend of spiritual tranquility and modern comfort.
Commenting on the partnership, Rahul Pathania of Mcleo Times Square said, “We are excited to collaborate with IHCL to introduce the Gateway brand to McLeodganj.”
With this addition, IHCL's portfolio in Himachal Pradesh grows to 13 hotels, including eight under development. Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development at IHCL, noted, “This signing aligns with our strategy to strengthen IHCL’s presence across Himachal Pradesh’s key leisure destinations such as Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala, Naldhera, and Sirmaur. McLeodganj, with its deep cultural significance, continues to draw both domestic and international travelers.”
