Gateway to Growth: IHCL Signs New Hotel in Pune's Bibvewadi

The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the signing of a new hotel under its Gateway brand in Bibvewadi, Pune, furthering its strategy to expand in high-growth urban markets.

The upcoming 180-key hotel, Gateway Bibvewadi Pune, will be part of a mixed-use development located near the city centre, in a rapidly developing commercial and infrastructure corridor. The hotel will feature an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a bar, a gym, and a swimming pool. It will also offer approximately 4,000 sq. ft. of banqueting space, along with smaller meeting rooms and pre-function areas—catering to both business and social events.

Commenting on the development, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development at IHCL, said: “Bibvewadi, an emerging micro-market in Pune, is witnessing rapid growth driven by infrastructure and commercial development. This signing aligns with our strategy of expanding IHCL’s footprint in high-growth urban clusters.”

Often referred to as the ‘Oxford of the East’, Pune continues to be a key regional hub with strong demand from business and leisure travellers, fueled by its dynamic IT, automotive, pharmaceutical, and education sectors.
