BHVL’s Chennai Expansion: Rs 1,100 Crore & Three New Hotels

Brigade Hotel Ventures (BHVL) is set to invest Rs 1,100 crore in Chennai as part of a larger Rs 3,600-crore expansion strategy spanning the next three to four years. Already operating the 202-key Holiday Inn Chennai OMR, the company plans to significantly increase its footprint in the city by launching three new properties: the Courtyard by Marriott Chennai World Trade Centre, the JW Marriott Chennai OMR, and the Grand Hyatt Chennai ECR by 2029-30.

Director Vineet Verma highlighted Chennai as a cornerstone of the company’s growth. Currently managing 1,600 keys across nine properties, BHVL’s broader pipeline—which includes nine additional projects across India—is set to nearly double its portfolio to 3,300 keys, further solidifying its presence in the hospitality sector.
