Brigade's Next Stop: Religious and Leisure Hubs

Brigade Hotel Ventures Ltd. (BHVL), a subsidiary of Bengaluru-based Brigade Enterprises, is set to expand into key religious and leisure destinations across India as part of its strategic growth plan.

Currently the second-largest owner of chain-affiliated hotels in South India, BHVL operates nine properties across Bengaluru, Mysuru, Chennai, Kochi, and GIFT City, offering a total of 1,604 keys. The company has established partnerships with global hospitality brands such as Marriott, Accor, InterContinental Hotels Group, and Hyatt—collaborating with Hyatt for its upcoming Chennai project.

By FY29, BHVL aims to grow its portfolio to 14 hotels with a combined inventory of 2,560 keys. It also plans to develop a new property near the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) on Tumakuru Road to cater to business travelers and event delegates.

Managing Director Nirupa Shankar announced a proposed ₹760 crore initial public offering (IPO), with proceeds intended for debt reduction (₹468 crore) and land acquisition from the parent company (₹107 crore).
