The Kerala Turnaround: A ₹55k Crore Success Story

A year after hosting the Invest Kerala Global Summit to position the state as an investor-friendly destination, Kerala has advanced projects worth ₹54,908.22 crore, according to State Industries Minister P. Rajeeve.

Speaking to reporters, the Minister said the amount accounts for over 40% of the Expressions of Interest (EoIs) received during the summit, supported by the availability of readily accessible land for industrial development.

The summit drew EoIs amounting to ₹1,81,209 crore from 449 investors. Of these, 115 projects have either begun construction or commenced operations, creating approximately 66,073 jobs so far.

Minister Rajeeve noted that the government had prioritised 22 key sectors at the summit — including tourism, food processing, information technology, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare — as part of a broader strategy to accelerate industrial growth and expand employment opportunities across the state.
