Crystal Crop Protection has acquired 31.06 acres of land from Kurl-On at Jhagadia for setting up a greenfield manufacturing facility.
The company plans to invest ₹100 crore over the next three years to develop a fully automated plant for producing agrochemical formulations and technical-grade products. The facility will begin operations with an annual capacity of 50,000 tonnes, with provisions to scale up production to 1,20,000 tonnes in response to increasing market demand.
The new unit will manufacture herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides for both the domestic market and exports to regions across Asia and Africa, including established brands such as Topper, Tilt, and Proclaim.
Ankur Aggarwal, Executive Chairman and Managing Director of Crystal Crop Protection, noted that the plant’s strategic location in Gujarat provides advantages such as cost efficiency, regulatory clarity, and a strong supply chain ecosystem, supporting the company’s long-term growth plans.
