RVNL Lowest Bidder for ₹115 Crore Central Railway OHE Upgrade

Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for an overhead equipment (OHE) project awarded by Central Railway, valued at Rs 115.79 crore.

The project involves upgrading the existing 1x25 kV electric traction system to a 2x25 kV AT feeding system on the Itarsi-Amla section in Nagpur Division. This upgrade is essential to support the 3,000 MT freight loading target. The work is expected to be completed within 24 months.

RVNL is a key player in railway infrastructure development, handling projects such as new lines, doubling, gauge conversion, railway electrification, metro systems, cable-stayed bridges, and institutional buildings.
