Ashoka Buildcon has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from North Western Railway for a major electrification upgrade project, further strengthening its position in India’s infrastructure sector.
The contract, valued at ₹499.95 crore, involves the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning for upgrading the existing electric traction system from 1 x 25 kV to 2 x 25 kV. The project spans several key sections of the Jaipur Division, covering:
581.43 route kilometers (RKM)
1,210.82 track kilometers (TKM)
across segments including RE–AWR–BKI, BKI–JP, JP–FL–MD, and RE–RGS–FL.
The scope also includes modification of existing overhead equipment (OHE) to facilitate train operations at speeds of up to 160 kmph, aligning with Indian Railways’ electrification and modernization goals.
