HPCL Rajasthan Refinery to Begin Operations by End of 2025

The HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Ltd. (HRRL) at Pachpadara (Balotara) is on track to begin operations by the end of 2025, marking a major milestone in Rajasthan’s industrial and energy landscape. The update was shared during the inauguration of the Refinery Main Control Room (RMCR) on 24 August 2025.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri, who emphasized the project's strategic importance in enhancing energy security and regional development.

To maximize local employment opportunities, a dedicated skill development centre is being set up to train and prepare local youth for jobs in the refinery and related sectors.

As part of the event, the dignitaries also:

Launched the Operator Training Simulator, Commissioned the pumping systems of the Crude Distillation Unit (CDU) and Delayed Coking Unit (DCU), Conducted an on-site review of ongoing construction across various refinery units

Once operational, the HRRL refinery is expected to significantly contribute to fuel production capacity, reduce crude transportation costs, and boost economic growth in the region.
