Model Economic Township (MET), a subsidiary of Reliance Industries, has signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the Haryana government, facilitating proposed investments of ₹8,646 crore in Reliance MET City, its integrated industrial township in Jhajjar.
The investment commitments comprise contributions from MET as well as companies that have acquired land within the township and are setting up manufacturing and industrial facilities. Spanning approximately 8,250 acres, Reliance MET City has developed into a significant industrial and business hub, hosting more than 650 companies from 11 countries. The agreements were formalised during the launch of the Haryana Government’s Make in Haryana Industrial Policy 2026, which seeks to attract large-scale investments and boost industrial development across the state.
The planned investments cover a diverse range of sectors, including automotive and auto components, electronics, defence manufacturing, medical devices, footwear, and packaging. These projects are expected to create over 33,250 employment opportunities, further strengthening Haryana’s industrial base and supporting the state’s economic growth objectives.
