The Odisha Cabinet, under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, has approved six key proposals aimed at enhancing infrastructure and public services in the state.
A total of ₹108 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of the Baitarani Left and Right Bank Canal. Additionally, the Cabinet approved ₹2,398 crore for the Emergency Medical Ambulance Services (EMAS) scheme, which will be implemented over the next five years to strengthen healthcare accessibility.
In a move to improve service quality, the qualification criteria for Anganwadi Supervisors have been revised to require a bachelor's degree.
The Cabinet also greenlit a major irrigation project in Anandpur, Keonjhar district, with an investment of ₹108 crore.
Further, approval was granted for the creation of 24 new posts in the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Department to support its growing responsibilities.
These decisions were announced by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja following the Cabinet meeting.
