Mir Alam Tank to Get a New ₹430 Crore Bridge

A new bridge will be constructed across Hyderabad’s Mir Alam Tank at an estimated cost of ₹430 crore, following administrative approval granted by the Telangana government on July 24, 2025.

The bridge will link the Bengaluru National Highway with Chintalmet Road, significantly improving regional connectivity. The project will be executed under the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) model, with the Musi Riverfront Development Corporation Ltd (MRDCL) designated as the implementing agency, operating under the supervision of the Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) Department.

While land acquisition is underway, MRDCL will begin the tendering process for EPC contracts in parallel. A Project Management Consultancy (PMC) agency will be appointed through a competitive process to oversee project supervision, quality control, and independent audits.

All technical designs submitted by the EPC contractor will be subject to detailed review by a reputed technical institution, such as JNTU-Hyderabad, and must receive final clearance from the PMC agency to ensure structural integrity and adherence to standards.
