Shivtek Invests ₹50 Crore in New Specialty Chemical Plant in Punjab

Shivtek Spechemi Industries, a subsidiary of the Shiva Group of Industries, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bodal Chemicals to acquire approximately eight acres of land in Rajpura, Punjab, for setting up a new specialty chemical manufacturing facility.

The company plans to invest ₹50 crore in land acquisition and the initial two phases of the project. Strategically located adjacent to Bodal’s existing chemical facility, the site will benefit from a direct chlorine pipeline connection—offering reduced logistics costs, enhanced operational safety, and a lower carbon footprint.

The upcoming plant will manufacture chlorinated paraffin, chlorinated polyethylene (CPE), and green plasticisers, catering to the growing demand from the plastics, rubber, and sustainable materials sectors.

Amitt Nenwani, Managing Director of Shivtek, stated that land has been secured not only for current needs but also for future expansions, emphasizing the strategic synergy with Bodal in building an integrated and efficient chemical ecosystem. Ankit Patel, Executive Director of Bodal Chemicals, added that the MoU ensures stable chlorine offtake, improves plant utilisation, and minimises storage-related risks.

Designed with sustainability at its core, the facility will incorporate solar power systems and operate on a Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) model. Commercial operations are expected to begin by late 2026 or Q4 of FY27.
