Tanfac Industries, a prominent Indian chemical manufacturer, has successfully commissioned a 5,000 tonne per annum (TPA) solar-grade dilute hydrofluoric acid (DHF) plant—marking a key milestone in India’s solar energy landscape. The DHF produced has received approval from one of the country’s leading solar energy companies, affirming its compliance with rigorous industry standards.
With this achievement, TANFAC becomes the first Indian chemical company to establish a solar-grade DHF production facility—a critical material in the manufacture of solar photovoltaic cells. The company is already advancing to the second phase of the project, which will expand production capacity to 10,000 TPA within the next three months.
Tanfac is a joint sector enterprise promoted by Anupam Rasayan India Ltd and the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO), and is widely recognized for its expertise in hydrofluoric acid and its derivatives.
