JSW and Tomcar: A New Era for Indian Tactical Vehicles

JSW Sarbloh Motors, a division of JSW Defence, has entered into a joint venture with Tomcar USA, a Phoenix-based manufacturer of high-performance all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), to locally manufacture the TX series of tactical ATVs in India.

As part of the agreement, JSW Sarbloh will indigenise, assemble, and support the TX range at its Chandigarh facility. The first India-assembled units are expected to roll out by early 2026, with field trials and demonstrations planned for defence and paramilitary forces in the near future.

Calling the partnership a “significant milestone,” Parth Jindal of the JSW Group emphasized the TX platform’s durability, adaptability, and safety, noting its potential to enhance India’s tactical mobility and support indigenous defence manufacturing goals.

Tomcar USA Founder Ram Zarchi described the venture as “pivotal” to Tomcar’s entry into the Indian market, combining the brand’s “mission-grade engineering” with JSW’s proven manufacturing strength. The collaboration is also expected to support Tomcar’s global expansion, particularly into right-hand-drive markets.

The JV aligns with India’s Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat defence initiatives, strengthening capabilities in specialised military mobility solutions.
