YEIDA to Build Logistics Hub Near Noida Airport

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has unveiled plans to develop Sector-8F, near the upcoming Noida International Airport, into a dedicated logistics and warehousing hub.

The decision was approved during YEIDA’s board meeting held on September 6, 2025, in anticipation of the airport’s launch, which is expected to include significant cargo operations. Officials estimate the airport will handle nearly two million tonnes of cargo annually from day one—much of which is currently routed through Delhi’s IGI Airport.

“Sector-8F, being strategically located near the airport, will enable seamless storage and movement of goods,” said Shailendra Bhatia, Officer on Special Duty at YEIDA. A consultant will soon be appointed to prepare the development blueprint, including plot configurations and supporting infrastructure.

In parallel, YEIDA is advancing plans for a major Multimodal Logistics Park (MMLP) at Tappal Bajna, around 10 km from the airport, further enhancing regional cargo connectivity and industrial expansion.
