WCL Opens Major Tender for Kolarpimpri OCM Expansion

Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) has issued a tender for handling, transportation and other mining services at the Kolarpimpri opencast mine (OCM) in the Wani North Area of Maharashtra.

The scope of work includes overburden (OB) removal, coal extraction, handling and transportation, as well as hoisting operations (HOE). The contract period is four years, eight months and four days, and is aimed at enhancing mining operations and operational efficiency at the site.

The tender will be awarded on a competitive bidding basis. Interested bidders must submit their bids by January 27, 2026.
