Visakhapatnam is poised for a major digital transformation, with five IT companies collectively committing investments worth ₹19,000 crore, following land allotments by the Andhra Pradesh government.
The initiative is expected to generate tens of thousands of jobs and significantly upgrade the city’s IT and digital infrastructure, reinforcing Visakhapatnam’s position as a growing tech hub.
Key projects include:
Sify Infinit Spaces: Allotted 3.6 acres at Madhurawada IT SEZ and 25 acres at Paradesipalem, the company will set up a 550 MW data centre with an investment of ₹15,266 crore, generating employment for 600 individuals.
Phenom People: Will invest ₹207.5 crore to develop an AI-driven IT/ITeS campus, creating up to 2,500 jobs. The firm has received 0.45 acres in Madhurawada and four acres at Rushikonda IT Park.
BVM Energy and Residency Pvt Ltd: Plans to build 2.5 million sq. ft. of mixed-use infrastructure on 10 acres in Yendada, contributing to the region’s integrated development.
Sattva Group: Awarded 30 acres at Hill No. 4, Madhurawada, for a ₹1,500 crore project with the potential to create 25,000 jobs, focusing on IT infrastructure and commercial spaces.
ANSR Global: Will invest ₹1,000 crore to develop a Global Innovation City on 10.29 acres, targeting 10,000 new jobs in high-end technology and innovation services.
These developments mark a major milestone in Andhra Pradesh’s strategy to position Visakhapatnam as a premier destination for IT and innovation, while also fostering employment, infrastructure, and economic growth in the region.
