Vikram Solar, a leading player in India’s solar PV industry, has inaugurated its state-of-the-art Vallam manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu, adding 5 GW to its production capacity.
With this expansion, the company’s total capacity now stands at 9.5 GW, reinforcing its position in India’s solar manufacturing landscape. The 27,000 sq. mtr. Vallam plant incorporates advanced automation—including robotics, intelligent material-handling, and automated packaging—to ensure precision, reliability, and high-quality output. Built on TOPCon technology, the facility is also designed for seamless upgrades to HJT and supports M10, G12, and G12R formats.
The new plant will deliver durable, high-performance modules with lower failure rates and improved energy yields. It further strengthens Vikram Solar’s footprint in Tamil Nadu’s clean energy ecosystem, complementing the company’s Oragadam facility and its upcoming Gangaikondan site.
