Versuni’s Vision: 2 Million Airfryers and a New Hub in Chennai

Versuni, formerly known as Philips Domestic Appliances, plans to double its annual airfryer production at its Ahmedabad facility to two million units as part of an expansion aimed at strengthening its manufacturing presence in India.

The increased output is expected to be achieved within a month, said Gulbahar Taurani while speaking to reporters on Monday during a visit to the company’s plant on the outskirts of Chennai.

As part of its expansion strategy, Versuni India has also launched a new manufacturing facility in Chennai to expand its existing production operations in the country. The move is intended to boost local manufacturing in high-growth appliance segments while reinforcing the company’s long-term commitment to producing in India.

The expanded facility will increase production capacity for key product categories, including airfryers, air purifiers and other kitchen appliances. It is also expected to support the company’s broader localisation strategy and improve supply chain efficiency for the Indian market.
