V Bazaar Sets Sights on ₹2,000 Crore Revenue Milestone by FY29

V Bazaar Retail is targeting ₹2,000 crore in revenue by FY2029, backed by a calibrated expansion strategy that emphasises profitability, disciplined unit economics, and cluster-based growth.

The value fashion retailer, which currently operates more than 100 stores, plans to open 25–30 new outlets this year, followed by an additional 100 stores over the next three years. This expansion will largely be funded through internal accruals, reflecting a focus on sustainable growth. Each store typically requires an investment of ₹2–2.5 crore and is designed to achieve a payback period of under two years, ensuring financial viability alongside scale.

The company’s growth approach is centred on deepening its footprint in northern India through a cluster-led model. By consolidating operations within specific regions, V Bazaar aims to enhance supply chain efficiency, optimise logistics, and better capture local demand before entering new geographies. At the same time, it is strengthening its private label portfolio, targeting a 35–40% contribution to overall sales to improve margins and brand differentiation.

With a focus on affordable fashion, in-house designs, and organised retail formats tailored for tier-II, III, and IV markets, V Bazaar is positioning itself to benefit from rising aspirational consumption while maintaining a strong emphasis on cost control and long-term profitability.
